Cycle the most beautiful roads in the natural forests of the Andalusian Sierra de Grazalema
The Wheelhouse invites you to an exhilarating road cycling camp in the heart of the Andalusian "Pueblos Blancos" region. Five days of phenomenal riding along Spain's renown Sierra, epicentre of multiple stages of the Vuelta a España and a favourite area for Pro Tour training. Whether it's visiting the myriad of Unesco Heritage towns or climbing the Alto de Las Palomas, you'll be enthralled by this region's beauty, hospitality and challenging rides under the warm Spanish spring sun.
RIDING
The Sierra de Grazalema region encompasses rolling terrain with challenging mountain passes. Roads are generous in space with smooth asphalt surface and low vehicle traffic. Our typical day ride will vary between 55kms to 120Kms with options to extend. We will begin and end our ride right from our base accommodation. Our proposed loops include beautiful scenery and coffee stops along the way. All rides will be supported and guided by our staff. A van will constantly be available so you don't have to worry about clothing, snacks, hydration or mechanical issues. No matter your pace we'll make sure that assistance is on hand and that you are well guided through the length of your day's ride.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Old Andalusian farms are called Cortijos. These ancestral homes were the norm back in the day. This Southern region of Spain is where Olive and Cork bark tree plantations fed the villages. The roots of bullfighting and flamenco folklore hatched in the heart of the Pueblos Blancos (White Villages) Our base is known as Cortijo Salinas and is situated in the heart of the Sierra. Unesco World Heritage towns such as Zahara de la Sierra, Grazalema & Setenil Las Bodegas will be our daily sights and are all a short ride from the house. Our Cortijo has been run by the same family for over 400 years and it is a monument to Spanish architecture and hospitality. Today, el Cortijo Salinas welcomes guests in a posh accommodation setting where you may enjoy the core of Spanish traditions. Its walls reflect the region's history and thus is the perfect place to rest between our rides.

BIKE OPTIONS
RENT A BIKE
Traveling through the airport with a bike—and paying for it to fly—is not everyone’s idea of a fun way to start a vacation. Fortunately, we offer high-quality, full carbon bikes on all of our trips across the United States and Europe. Want to just show up and ride? Just bring your shoes, pedals, helmet, and saddle (if you want), and rent one of ours.
Bring Your Own
The Wheelhouse will service and pack your bike at least 3 days before your departure. A thorough inspection and wash is included in your camp package. May any mechanic parts be needed it will be mentioned and budgeted to you beforehand. May you require a bike bag for your trip we'd gladly rent one to you on request
