DISCLAIMER

We strive to provide accurate information and descriptions of our tours, but participants are encouraged to make independent investigations of their own as they pertain to the weather prospects for the duration of the tour, the condition of the roads, and the terrain over which the tours may take place. It is your personal responsibility to decide whether any tour organized by us is suitable or appropriate for you in terms of the challenges and risks that may be encountered.

LIABILITY

Cycling camps and tours are run by The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours. We take no responsibility for delays caused by conditions beyond our control, including acts of God, government restrictions, wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond our reasonable control.

INSURANCE

The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours and its employees are not liable for any damages relating to loss of property or injury of any kind to any participant. You should be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage.

By reserving a tour or meeting your guide to join a tour with us, you will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of service, including this disclaimer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All participants of the tour must agree to observe local laws and ensure that their conduct in no way puts at risk the welfare of any participant at an event or during a cycling tour. In the event of a collision or accident that causes damage to the participant or another participant or participants on the tour, the participant causing the collision or accident will be liable for all damages.

If for any reason you fail to arrive at the appointed time and place for any tour, we will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by you for missing the tour.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours makes every effort to ensure the safety of the tour participants and their belongings. However, The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours and its affiliates, associates, ambassadors, and employees are not liable for any injury, loss or damage due to negligence or default of any third party rendering any service included in the tour.

You are responsible for your own personal property, including but not limited to luggage, bicycles, and personal possessions. You must be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage. All participants must provide proof of applicable personal accident and travel insurance cover before the commencement of the tour and on request.

ROAD SAFETY

The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours is dedicated to providing a safe, rewarding experience for all of our guests.

We want you to enjoy your cycling tour and have a great time with us. As such, please read the following carefully:

When you book a tour with The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours, you undertake to conduct yourself in a manner that does not put at risk your own safety and that of other participants on the tour. In addition, you accept all risks of the road including challenging terrain, road hazards, road posts and signs, vehicles on the road, and hazards from other cyclists and other road users.

Cyclists can and do sustain serious injuries from such hazards. The Wheelhouse Cycling Tour and its employees, affiliates, associates, and ambassadors are not responsible whatsoever for the state of the roads or for the conduct of any participant or other road user.

PHYSICAL ABILITY

It is the sole responsibility of the participant to determine his or her skill level regarding handling a bike and road safety to determine whether or not our cycling tour is suitable for the individual concerned. Participants accept all risks to their physical well-being associated with this activity, such as their ability to withstand exposure to the elements, level and extent of physical exertion, tolerance and endurance. We make no assumption about any cycling skills, physical fitness or fitness levels of any participant.

Participants will be using public roads while out cycling and it is the responsibility of the participants to decide whether or not their cycle equipment, cycling speed, physical endurance and/or bike and road handling skills are appropriate for any given tour.

If a staff member or guide of The Wheelhouse Cycling Tour deems it unsafe or irresponsible for a guest to participate in a tour lead by them due to the incapability to safely drive a bicycle either due to inexperience, use of alcohol or drugs or any other reason the guides reserve the full right to ban the guests from participating on the tour.

EQUIPMENT

The following rules apply to all participants of the Wheelhouse Cycling Tour. Bike components and even bike frames can fail unexpectedly, and we accept no responsibility whatsoever in such cases.

When renting a bicycle from a third-party company, i.e., a bike-rental company, all rules regarding rented bicycles that apply to individuals renting their own bikes at one of the used companies are applicable to our participants cycling tours. Participants are responsible for checking that their own bikes are in roadworthy condition before commencing on a tour, meaning they accept all responsibility for equipment failure or any resulting problems and/or expenses.

In the case that Wheelhouse Cycling Tour provides its own bicycles, the exact similar rules are applicable.

PROTECTIVE WEAR

Participants must wear a cycling helmet whether or not it is mandated by law. The Wheelhouse Cycling Tours provides helmets upon request; however, any rider who chooses to wear or not wear a cycle helmet while participating in any cycling tour, trip, or event organized by Wheelhouse Cycling Tour and/or its associates does so at his or her own risk.

If you believe the situation is serious, you should also submit your complaint in writing to us as soon as possible, or within seven days of the date of your last day of the tour, either by post or by sending an email message using our Contact Us messaging service.
