The Partington R-Series Performance Ti is the flagship version of the new platform, built for riders seeking the most optimized expression of Partington’s integrated carbon-wheel system. Designed, developed, tested, manufactured and hand-assembled in Geelong, Australia, it combines titanium hardware and ratchet components with ceramic bearings for consistent performance and a distinctive ride quality.

Partington’s Performance is a System approach means the rim, hub, spokes and bearings are engineered to work together. The Performance Ti specification saves approximately 25 g compared with the corresponding Performance depth while retaining the same serviceable spoke architecture and modern aerodynamic rim shapes.

AERON carbon-fibre rims

The proprietary 50 mm and 65 mm AERON profiles were refined through computational fluid dynamics and testing at the South Australian Institute of Sport wind tunnel. Both depths measure 23 mm internally and 34 mm externally. The hooked, two-way-compatible rim is tubeless-ready and uses a sealed bed, so rim tape is not required.

PERFORM hubs with ceramic bearings

The black-anodized PERFORM hubs were developed with finite-element analysis to reduce mass while preserving stiffness and power transfer. Their floating-bearing architecture reduces unwanted axial bearing loads. The rear hub uses a needle-roller-bearing architecture and a 68-tooth face ratchet with helical-spline engagement. Performance Ti adds ceramic bearings and a titanium ratchet system.

FLEXON replaceable carbon spokes

FLEXON spokes use continuous Toray intermediate-modulus, high-tensile-strength carbon fibres. Their aerodynamic cross-section is designed to reduce drag while maintaining lateral and torsional stiffness. A serviceable spoke-to-rim and spoke-to-hub interface allows individual spokes to be replaced and the wheel to be precisely trued. Performance Ti wheelsets use titanium spoke pins and inserts, with 18 spokes at the front and 21 at the rear.

Choose your rim depth

50/50: The lightest configuration at approximately 1,175 g. It balances aerodynamic efficiency with crosswind stability for climbing, rolling terrain and technical courses.

50/65: A mixed-depth setup that combines the stable handling of the 50 mm front with the deeper rear wheel’s aerodynamic focus.

65/65: The approximately 1,265 g option for maximum aerodynamic performance on fast roads, flatter courses, time trials and sustained threshold efforts.

Frequently asked questions

What is different about Performance Ti?
It adds titanium spoke hardware and ratchet components, ceramic bearings and a black-anodized hub finish. Equivalent rim-depth configurations are approximately 25 g lighter than Performance.

Can Performance Ti run tubeless?
Yes. The hooked AERON rims are tubeless-ready and their sealed rim bed does not require rim tape.

Which tyres should I use?
Partington recommends a 28 mm front and 30 mm rear setup. The supported range is 28–32 mm, and the rim profile is aerodynamically optimized for tyres up to 30 mm.

Which freehub fits my drivetrain?
Choose SHM for Shimano HG road cassettes, XDR for SRAM road cassettes, or N3W for current Campagnolo cassettes.

What does the two-year Partington warranty cover?
The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects for two years from the original retail purchase date. It applies only to the original purchaser, is non-transferable and requires registration at the time of purchase. An accepted defect is repaired or replaced at no cost. Normal wear, accidents, transit damage, unauthorized modifications, negligence, improper handling and outside repair work are excluded.

How does Partington’s Multi-Year Crash Replacement Program work?
For an eligible R-Series wheel or wheelset, Year 1 provides a qualifying repair or replacement free to the original owner. In Year 2, the qualifying repair or replacement is 50% off MSRP; Year 3 is 40% off; Year 4 is 30% off; and Year 5 is 20% off. The program ends after Year 5. Partington determines whether to repair components, replace a wheel or replace the wheelset.

Who is eligible for crash replacement?
The program applies to the original owner of an R-Series wheel or wheelset purchased from an authorized Partington retailer on or after June 1, 2026 and registered at purchase. It covers riding accidents on tarmac roads. It excludes wear and tear, transit or transport damage, and incidents on unpaved or gravel roads.

Are there additional crash-program costs or limits?
Shipping, duties, tariffs and handling are the owner’s responsibility. The program may be used once per original purchase and does not restart for a repaired or replacement wheel. All claims remain subject to Partington’s current terms.

What should I do after a crash?
Stop riding the bike immediately and contact The Wheelhouse so the wheelset can be assessed and a claim can be coordinated with Partington.

Where do I register my wheels?
Register at Partington’s product-registration page at the time of purchase. Review the current warranty policy and crash-replacement terms before making a claim.
