SEE OUR PARTNERSDESCRIPTION
Built in-house with the new Colnago C68 frame set. Even though from an aesthetics point of view, its lines and styling may be more similar to that of a frame manufactured in one piece. There are still some visible joints on the C68 that trace back to the lug-to-lug technology Colnago C series is known for.
Colnago, as our bike builder, needs no introduction to anyone familiar with Ernesto's signature. With the numerous Colnago's we have built, we have to say the new Colnago C68 is our favorite. Our client is an experienced and great rider, Mike was looking for the ultimate Italian road bike. One that would make him feel fast when he wanted, maximize his power on flat roads and feel extremely stable when flying downhill, all the while looking as Italian as his last name. The Colnago C68 in Biacno is that and more.
Mike had a very strong vision and look in mind when specifying his dream bike. The final product combines a modernized 3D printed saddle from Selle Italia, Campagnolo WTO Bora wheels with Challenge criterium tubeless ready tyres. Silca bar tape, carbon Colnago bottle cages and Campagnolo Brevetti bar ends to keep this build 100% Italian.
All of these details speak to a core principle of The Wheelhouse where we strive to build the best possible bikes for their owners, and collaborating to bring their vision to life. Building a bike the client wants for life, not just the biggest discount online. Not just beautiful, but also durable,
We couldn’t have been more excited to deliver this bike to Mike, he managed to end the season with some epic rides and now we hope he is staring at this amazing Italian steed hanging in his office just waiting for the early Wheelhouse Cycling Camp.
Our congratulations go out to him for his dream bike, and for the many years of riding he has ahead of him.
