SWI in Canada — Your Questions, Answered
A continuous carbon shell. A personal approach to the build. SWI frames are hand laid and finished in Villafranca Padovana, Italy, with Swiss TPT thin-ply carbon technology. The Wheelhouse combines this craftsmanship with IDmatch fitting, considered component choices and Calgary workshop support.
WHERE CAN I BUY SWI IN CANADA?
The Wheelhouse is a SWI dealer in Calgary, listed in the manufacturer’s official network. Visit 2136 33 Ave SW, Suite 2B, Calgary, AB T2T 4Z7 or call 403 217 9369. Riders elsewhere in Canada can contact us for fit, build advice and destination-specific delivery.
HOW MUCH DOES A SWI FRAMESET COST?
Aequus and Aequus Leve are $11,700 CAD with standard carbon layup, or $14,900 CAD with custom layup. Prices include the fixed $550 Italy-to-Canada shipping allowance before rounding to the nearest $100. Fourteen standard finishes and the factory frameset parts are included. Groupsets, wheels, applicable taxes and onward delivery are separate.
AEQUUS OR AEQUUS LEVE?
Aequus has a 3K Herringbone woven outer over TPT inner carbon; published frame weight 720–790g. Leve uses TPT unidirectional carbon inside and out; published frame weight 640–710g. Same frame platform, same seven sizes, same geometry. Weights vary with size, layup and finish and are not complete-bike weights.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Frame, fork, one-piece carbon handlebar/stem, 27.2mm seatpost, headset, seat clamp, standard finish, computer-mount options, UDH-compatible derailleur hangers including a spare, bolts/hardware. We confirm cockpit dimensions and the final parts before order. Complete-bike photographs are illustrative: groupset, wheels, saddle, tyres and pedals are not included in the frameset price.
IS CUSTOM LAYUP CUSTOM GEOMETRY?
No. Custom layup tunes twelve zones of the carbon structure for your weight, power and preferred ride feel. The factory geometry remains unchanged in sizes 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60. Our fitting process helps choose size, cockpit and seatpost offset.
RAW OR PAINTED?
RAW: Raw Gloss or Raw Matte clearcoat. PAINTED solid: Nardo, Off White, Campari, Lobster, Menta or Portofino. PAINTED Ghost: Azure Ghost, Silver Ghost, Forest Ghost, Velvet Ghost, Olive Ghost or Blue Ghost. All fourteen factory finishes are included; bespoke colour matching is confirmed separately.
CAN I PRICE A ROAD BUILD?
Yes. Select your frameset size, layup, finish, road groupset and wheels on the product pages. Our team confirms gearing, crank length, freehub compatibility, remaining finishing kit and any assembly labour. Groupset and wheel selections do not automatically include every part of a complete bike.
WHAT TYRES FIT?
SWI specifies up to 32mm tyre clearance, optimized for 28mm. Actual width depends on the tyre and rim combination; we check your selected build.
WHAT WARRANTY DOES SWI OFFER?
SWI publishes a 50-year warranty on SWI-manufactured parts, subject to its current terms and assessment. Components from other brands retain their own warranties. Contact The Wheelhouse for current terms and support; do not assume crash damage is covered.
WHEN WILL MY SWI ARRIVE?
Ordered on demand. SWI currently indicates about four weeks for standard layup and eight to twelve weeks for custom layup. These are manufacturer production estimates, not guaranteed Canadian delivery dates. We confirm production and shipping for your individual order.
WHAT ABOUT SWI AER?
AER is currently described by SWI as an aero platform in wind-tunnel testing. We are not offering it as a priced, available frameset. Ask us for verified launch information.
