Italy does not build bicycles. Italy builds convictions.
The Basso Diamante in Opal White is the eighth evolution of a frame that has never needed to shout. Hand-laid in Bassano del Grappa from high-modulus Toray 40T and 30T carbon, it arrives at 760 grams in a size 53 — a number that feels almost implausible until you lift it. Then everything makes sense.
The Opal White finish is not a colour. It is a mood. Pearl-like, luminous, shifting with every angle of light. On the road it turns heads not because it demands attention, but because it simply cannot help it.
At the controls, the Campagnolo Super Record Wireless 13-speed groupset redefines what a drivetrain is capable of. The world's first 2x13 wireless system delivers a gear range that renders every gradient negotiable. Redesigned Ergopower levers return the iconic thumb shifter to its rightful place, while the customisable Smart Button puts precision exactly where your hand already rests. Gear changes arrive silently, instantaneously, and with a mechanical certainty that borders on addictive. Braking — handled by Magura-derived hydraulic discs — offers a modulation so progressive, so confidence-inspiring, that technical descents become something to seek out rather than survive.
The Campagnolo Bora WTO wheelset rolls beneath it all with quiet authority. USB ceramic bearings — 50% smoother than standard steel — eliminate resistance before it begins. Wind-tunnel-optimised profiles shed drag at the angles that matter most on real roads. The G3 spoke pattern, unchanged because it has never needed changing, transfers power with a directness that makes every pedal stroke feel personal.
The Levita integrated cockpit ties the front end together — stiff, aerodynamic, and sculpted with an ergonomic precision that disappears from your mind the moment you're moving. The Basso proprietary carbon seatpost, anchored by the 3B Clamp System Gen 2, absorbs the road's imperfections so you arrive exactly as you left — composed, capable, and wanting more.
This is a bicycle that does not ask to be appreciated. It simply is.
