Colnago G5-X: gravel, without the limits

Some rides start on pavement and end somewhere you did not plan. The G5-X is an entirely new monocoque carbon gravel platform, not simply a revision of the G4-X. It pairs responsive carbon construction with revised gravel geometry, room for nominal tires up to 53 mm and practical carrying options for the miles ahead. Internal down-tube storage keeps small essentials within the frame, while six mounting locations accommodate bottles and cargo for longer days.

A threaded BSA 68 mm bottom bracket and UDH-compatible rear end are thoughtful details for ownership. The included carbon seatpost uses a round 27.2 mm section with -15 mm offset. A compatible dropper post is a possible future option; it is not included in this complete build.

PAINTED: G501 — Carbon Green / White or G502 — Carbon Blue / White. These are the only two colour choices offered for this listing; there is no raw or custom-paint option.

Select Colnago size 450 (Extra Small), 480 (Small), 510 (Medium), 540 (Large), or 570 (Extra Large). These are Colnago’s size codes, not conventional seat-tube lengths in centimetres. Is the listed price for a complete bike?

Yes. The CAD price includes the complete SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 1x13 build and Vision TC45 Carbon wheelset listed above. There are no separate groupset or wheelset surcharges, and this is not a frameset configurator. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are handled separately at checkout.

What is different from the G4-X?

The G5-X is a new gravel platform with revised geometry, nominal tire clearance increased from 45 mm to 53 mm, internal down-tube storage, additional cargo mounting options and a round 27.2 mm seatpost.

Which tires can I fit?

Colnago specifies a maximum nominal width of 53 mm with 6 mm clearance. Actual tire dimensions depend on the tire and rim pairing. Use a compatible tire and respect both the tire and wheel manufacturers’ pressure and clearance limits.

Can I choose other components or a custom size?

This listing offers the supplied complete-bike package in two colours and five standard sizes. It does not offer open-ended component substitutions or a custom frame size. We will help verify the factory setup and fit with you.

Do the photographs show the exact build?

The official Colnago photographs show the G5-X platform and both paint finishes, including the RED/Zipp display bike.
