Description
xSome bikes are built to be looked at. This one is built to be ridden hard.
Finished in Opal White, the Basso Diamante is quiet at first glance — and striking once it catches the light. Beneath that finish is Basso's Italian carbon race frameset: stiff under power, settled over rough pavement, and fully integrated so nothing breaks up its lines.
The drivetrain is deliberately, entirely Italian. Campagnolo's 13-speed wireless system pairs Record shifters and derailleurs with a Super Record crankset and cassette, giving you 26 gears with almost no gaps between them. With a 165mm, 45-29 crank and an 11-36 cassette, you get a true climbing gear for the Foothills without giving up speed on the flats and descents.
Campagnolo Shamal Dual Profile wheels bring stability in crosswinds and sharp response out of corners. The 700c x 31mm René Herse Orondo Grade Extralight tires finish the build with race-bike feel and all-day comfort — the kind of setup that makes a long ride feel shorter, not harder.
In store now at The Wheelhouse. Come see it in person — this is a bike that photographs well, but rides even better.
