Short blurb:
Garmin's new navigation-first bike computer. A sharp 3-inch touchscreen, preloaded bike maps, and smart routing that gets you to new roads — and back — without needing a performance computer.
Full description:
Built for riders who ride to explore, tour, and commute, the Edge Explore 3 puts navigation first. Its 3-inch colour touchscreen shows preloaded, bike-specific maps with turn-by-turn directions, and new routing tools help you find the good way, not just the shortest way.
Drop a pin from Apple Maps or Google Maps on your phone and send it straight to the Edge — it builds a bike route to that exact spot. Free Flow Routing looks for routes with fewer stops and intersections, and Route Options let you compare paths by elevation and bike type.
It also covers the safety side: LiveTrack, incident detection, real-time weather alerts, community hazard alerts, and compatibility with Garmin Varia radar and lights. It works with power meters, heart rate monitors, and compatible Bosch and Shimano e-bike systems, and includes Garmin Cycling Coach plans and daily workout suggestions.
Short blurb:
Everything in the Edge Explore 3, plus hands-free control. Ask for a route, hear your stats, report a hazard, and message other riders — without taking your hands off the bars.
Full description:
The Explore 3 Plus is the same navigation-first computer as the Explore 3, with one big upgrade: a built-in speaker and microphone.
That gives you voice control to request a new route, read ride stats aloud, change screens, and report a road hazard, all with both hands on the bars. The speaker also plays navigation prompts and messages, and works as a digital bike bell. Through Garmin Messenger you can send and hear voice messages, not just text.
It also adds Wi-Fi and a Wi-Fi map manager, so you can update maps on the device without plugging into a computer.
