xID Match is Selle Italia's bike fitting system, and The Wheelhouse is the only location in North America that runs it. An ID Match fit measures how you actually ride instead of guessing from a chart: it uses markerless 3D scanning and saddle pressure mapping, then generates the position and, where needed, a 3D-printed saddle shaped for you. What an ID Match bike fit includes
- Markerless 3D scan. Nothing is attached to your body, so nothing changes the way you move. The system scans you and your existing bike, then sets the fitting jig to replicate the position you already ride before optimising it.
- Saddle pressure mapping. Measures where you actually carry your weight. This is the step most fits skip, and it is the reason a fit that felt right in the shop stops working at hour three.
- 3D-printed saddle design. Where no stock saddle suits your pressure map, Selle Italia's UNICA system prints one to measure.
- Full position and handover. Every measurement, in writing, so it can be repeated or transferred to a new bike.
Who it is for
Riders buying a new bike who want the position right before they spend. Riders who have been fit before and still get numb hands, knee pain or saddle discomfort. Riders with an existing bike they intend to keep. You do not need to have bought the bike from us - and in fact most people have not.

xReturns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

IDMatch bike fitting in Calgary — the markerless 3D fit
IDMatch is the first markerless 3D bike fitting system in the world, and The Wheelhouse runs it in Calgary. Older systems either rely on plumb lines and a trained eye, or they stick markers and sensors to your joints. IDMatch does neither. It captures you in three dimensions and reads how you actually stand, how your foot loads, how your pelvis rotates and where your asymmetries sit — before you turn a pedal.
Why markerless matters
Anything attached to your body changes how you move. Markers pull skin, sensors add weight, and the rider being measured is not quite the rider who turns up on a Sunday. Markerless capture removes that entirely: you ride, the system reads you, and nothing is in the way.
IDMatch then does something almost no other system does properly. It scans your current bike and automatically sets the fitting jig to replicate your existing position. You start from the bike you actually ride, not from a neutral reference position that has nothing to do with your setup. Every change is then measured against a known baseline.
What happens in the two hours
- We talk first. Your riding, your history, your injuries, what hurts and what you want out of the bike. This is not a formality — it shapes everything that follows.
- System overview and scan. We walk you through IDMatch and scan how you stand, your foot posture and stability, your pelvic rotation and any asymmetry.
- Your current bike is scanned. The jig is set to replicate your position exactly, so changes are measured against what you ride today.
- Cleat set-up and foot activation. The foot is where the power goes and the most neglected part of bike fitting. Cleats and foot position get fixed before anything else.
- Optimal riding position. Saddle height, setback, reach, bar width and drop, optimised live on the jig so you feel each change before anything is swapped on your own bike.
- Saddle pressure mapping and frame selection. We map pressure across the saddle and search a database of over 4,000 bikes to identify what genuinely fits you.
What you leave with
A personal fit report containing your measurements and position data. You can take it to any bike shop in the world and buy a bike that fits you, rather than one that happened to be on the floor. You do not have to buy a bike from us to use it.
